FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Your hunting lease begins when you make a commitment by placing a non-refundable $399 deposit on the property and it runs for 1 year from that date, unless specified otherwise. It is yours to hunt upon receipt of a signed lease along with payment in full, which is due no more than 7 days after the deposit was made. If payment in full is not received in 7 calendar days, your deposit is forfeited and the property will be made available. Keep in mind that if the property doesn't fit the description in your opinion, that is not a reason for a refund. Inspect the property first if you are not willing to lose your deposit. Deposit amounts are subject to change without notice.
Payments are made out to Hammonds Investments LLC, 8102 Braxton Ct, Mechanicsville, VA 23116. Payment is due in full within 7 days of committing to a lease. Payment can be made with a PayPal , money order, certified check or cashier's check.
All properties are listed at a value for the entire property, no matter how many hunters you have, up to the maximum allowed.
That is the total number of people allowed on the lease, regardless of age and whether or not they are hunting. All must sign the lease agreement. Our property is a 4-person lease, which means 4 individuals can be on the property. Not 2 guys this week and then 4 different guys next week. If they aren't listed, they are trespassers and not covered by the liability insurance. This management technique is mainly to maintain game populations and ensure that our property is a quality hunting opportunities for years to come. More hunting pressure = less success. We want our lessees to come back.

The lease is for access only. You will need to have a valid Virginia State hunting license and tags appropriate for the season you are hunting.
Gates to the property will generally be kept closed when not in use for timber hauling. You will be issued a key that will give you access to the property at all times during the permit season. You will also be issued vehicle and individual passes to identify you as a permittee.

Hunt deer, turkey, bear and other legal game. Set up base-camp. Ride eBikes. Place game cameras, tree stands and blinds.
